Secret Leather Cleaner #1 – Baby Shampoo
Preventing mold growth on leather goods is the best way to avoid damage. Take action. Regularly clean and condition leather items. When not in use, keep your leather items out of direct heat and dry environments.
Baby shampoo is a great option for regular maintenance cleaning. Use a soft cloth or an old t-shirt to clean the baby shampoo. Use the baby shampoo to make a lather for your leather items. To remove the lather, use a second damp cloth. Baby shampoo is gentle, but it can be used to clean leather.
To protect your leather leather items from future damage, apply a leather moisturizer after the leather has dried.
Leather Cleaner #2 – Baking Soda

Make a small mixture of equal parts water & rubbing alcohol. You only need a small amount. You can use a soft, dampened cloth to rub any mold or mildew areas. You can work on small areas at once, and continue rubbing until you are rid of the mold or mildew.
Use a towel to dry the seat. To speed dry and eliminate the alcohol smell, it is best to open the car doors with a fan. Leather sofas and leather chairs can also be treated in the same way.
Leather Cleaner #4 – Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is an acidic liquid that works well as a mildew and mold remover. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove as much visible mold as you can. Combine lemon juice and water. It should be about 3 parts water to 1 portion lemon juice. You can use a sponge, or better yet, a piece from lamb’s wool. Use the lemon juice solution to moisten your applicator and then gently wipe down the surface. You don’t have to soak the item.
Let the lemon juice solution dry almost completely before wiping the item with a soft cloth. Once your leather item has dried completely, you can apply a leather conditioner using either a sponge or a piece lamb’s wool.
